What the SD-920HM Does

The SD-920HM is a semi-automatic sleeve film heat shrink packaging machine. It wraps a tape roll or a multi-roll pack in shrink film with a paper card, then shrinks it. It handles single rolls and multi-roll packs, and an operator loads the roll or pack by hand. The value is flexibility: one machine covers 76 mm core tape, and also 56 mm and 38 mm core tape, with a simple mold change rather than a different machine.

Where It Fits on the Line

The SD-920HM sits at the same packaging handoff as the other shrink wrappers, but it is the choice when core sizes vary or when output is multi-roll packs:

Jumbo roll â rewinding and slitting â SD-920HM (film + card + shrink, single or multi-roll) â column sleeve shrink (SD-1060 + SD-4522) â labeling â case erecting and sealing â palletizing.

For a plant running both 76 mm industrial tape and 38 mm electrical tape, the SD-920HM avoids buying two dedicated wrappers. Pair it with a SD-4522 or SD-4020 shrink tunnel on busier lines.

Applications

Tape rolls and multi-roll packs across 76 mm, 56 mm, and 38 mm core sizes. Common for mixed product plants, distributors, and private-label tape where one line must serve several core formats. Pack quality is better than the SD-TB1020 economy wrapper.

SD-920HM, SD-TB1020, or SD-77HM

Multi-roll packs, lowest cost, full auto â SD-TB1020 (towel pack / cuff pack, economy model).
Single or multi-roll, variable core 76/56/38 mm, operator-loaded â SD-920HM (semi-auto, better pack finish).
Single roll, 76 mm core only, fully auto â SD-77HM (higher automation, 76 mm only).

If your core sizes stay at 76 mm and volume is high, the SD-77HM automates the load. If core sizes vary or pack finish matters more than labor, the SD-920HM is the flexible pick.

FAQ

Can the SD-920HM run 38 mm core tape?
Yes. 76 mm is the primary size, but 56 mm and 38 mm also run with a mold change. It is not a 76 mm-only machine.

Is it fully automatic?
No. Loading is manual (semi-auto). If you want full auto multi-roll, see the SD-TB1020.

What is the difference from the SD-TB1020?
The SD-TB1020 is fully automatic and lower cost but built for multi-roll towel packs. The SD-920HM accepts single or multi-roll and a wider core range, with a better pack finish.

How long to install?
